Munkebo Seafood A/S was established by Hawesta & F. Tengberg Hansen.

Hawesta was a german producer of cans, and F. Tengberg already has a conserved fish factory, and that is why this partnership was ideel. 

Hawesta was on the lookout for a place in Denmark, where female work labour was available. The local shipyard, Lindø, had a large male workforce, and hence a lot of women in the local area might need a place to work (…)
